Due to popular demand for this Thursday’s briefing by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) – Do you need a licence to participate in carbon markets? – CMI will host an additional webinar this Monday 25 June to ensure everyone can access this important and timely information.

The webinar will provide a brief by ASIC on the requirements for carbon market participants to obtain and hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

Date: Monday, 25 June 2012
Time: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm AEST
Venue: Your PC! Or Join the Certainty group viewing
Structure: Free interactive webinar with Q&A

This is another great opportunity to hear from ASIC about the licensing process. I attended Thursday’s session. ASIC are taking a pragmatic approach to getting the industry licensed. This is a great opportunity to ask questions directly to the regulator. With only one week to go before the ‘free option’ of registration expires on 30 June, it is surprising to see very few carbon participants registered. I recommend those who have not decided yet whether to register to attend the webinar.

Certainty will be hosting a group viewing of Monday’s webinar with an opportunity to ask us your questions. This will be followed by our Carbon Markets Essentials Transitioning to AFS licensing course that goes through in detail the licensing process. To read about this more course click here.
