ASIC Updates their Training Register

Applies to AFS Licencees, Financial Service Planners

What's new?

As a result of stakeholder feedback regarding functionality and user friendliness of their training register (the Register), ASIC have made the following improvements:

  • New searching facility to locate courses and course providers
  • An updated layout of the Register and the information provided
  • An archived section for de-registered courses; and
  • Additional information about course content

How does this apply to you?

AFS Licencees have an obligation to ensure that if their representatives provide financial product advice to retail clients, that they are adequately trained and competent to provide the financial services listed on their AFS licence.

In order to meet your training obligations under RG 146 you need to complete courses approved by ASIC. The new version of the Register makes it much easier to locate courses specific to your needs
